COVID-19 Pediatric Urgent Care for San Antonio Children

Kids and COVID-19

KidzNow understands the concern parents have regarding protecting their children from COVID, especially those too young to receive the vaccine. This is why we offer COVID-19 testing for kids in our pediatric urgent care facility in San Antonio.

It’s important to get children tested to find out if they have an active infection, especially if they participated in in-person activities. The earlier they get tested, the easier it will be to help manage any symptoms and prevent the spread of the virus.

As a pediatric COVID-19 testing center in San Antonio, we follow guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics.

COVID-19 Tests

Going on vacation or just returned from one? Think your child may have been exposed to COVID? We offer three types of COVID tests:

Rapid Antigen Test

Detects presence of COVID-19 virus. Our COVID-19 testing center for children in San Antonio collects samples from each nostril using a swab.

Molecular (PCR) Test

Detects current COVID-19 infection. This is the most accurate test we offer. It’s done by collecting samples from the back of the throat and nose using a swab.

Antibody (blood) Test

Determines recent or prior COVID-19 infection. It is done by collecting blood samples, usually by pricking a finger and testing the sample in a lab to determine if a patient has developed antibodies.
